Located
conveniently near Disneyland and
the Anaheim Convention Center,
Mr Stox has been owned and managed
by the Marshall family since 1977.
Presently Chick, Debbie and Ron
Marshall are active in the business.
Mr Stox opened for business in
December 1968 under the ownership
of Harry and Maureen Fahnestock,
hence the name Mr Stox. Mr Stox
is an early California Mission
style architecture with a traditionally
elegant interior that reflects
the east coast roots of the Marshall
family.
Mr Stox features a full bar lounge
with a cozy fireplace. The dining
rooms offer comfort and privacy
with spacious booths in an elegant
setting. The rich Axminster carpeting
and beautifully illuminated works
of art complete the setting for
a relaxed dining experience. A
pianist performs nightly in the
dining area while the friendly
experienced staff anticipates
your every need.
Over
the past several years almost
every inch of Mr Stox has been
extensively refurbished as part
of an ongoing commitment by the
Marshall family to maintain a
fresh, smart and clean look. Guests
enjoy rich mahogany molding and
wainscoating which provide a perfect
setting for a wonderful collection
of fine art and old world porcelain
from Italy. Recently, all of the
service china and glassware have
been upgraded as well to further
elevate the guest’s dining
experience.

Bordeaux Room
Over the years, Mr Stox has
accumulated a number of awards in
recognition of its excellence in
service, cuisine and ambience. One
of the first was the Wine
Spectator Grand Award which
was first received in 1983. Mr
Stox is also honored to receive
the Golden Bacchus award
from the Southern California
Restaurant for the 25,000 bottle
wine inventory offering over 1100
wine selections. Most recently Mr
Stox was selected by the Nation’s
Restaurant News to their Fine
Dining Hall of Fame. Likewise,
the Wine Enthusiast Magazine
honored Mr Stox in 2005 with its
Award of Ultimate Distinction.
The Zagat Guide has continually
rated the restaurant as
Outstanding.

Ron and Chick Marshall
The
executive chef Scott Raczek has
been instrumental in Mr Stox
success garnering both an outstanding
rating from the Zagat guide and
the “Golden Sceptre”,
the Southern California Restaurant
Writers highest award for Cuisine
and Service. And most recently,
the Orange County Business Journal
selected Mr Stox as its “Restaurant
of the Year” for 2003. The
restaurant is also honored to
have received the “Award
of Excellence” from the
DiRoNA (Distinguished Restaurants
of North America) since 1999.
The
family and staff take great pride
in the quality of Mr Stox cuisine
serving an array of fresh fish,
Maryland Crab Cakes, USDA Prime
Steaks, Veal , Prime Rib and Colorado
rack of lamb, along with numerous
daily specials.
The menu is updated continually
to take advantage of seasonal
changes and the availability of
the freshest seasonal products.
Mr Stox bakes five kinds of breads
twice each day plus a legionary
carrot bread. Having a large herb
garden and many fruit trees on
the two acre property enables
the staff to have a full selection
of the freshest ingredients available.
The Chef oversees the spectacular
desserts, that are made fresh
everyday!
