        Aurtoro Fuente Cigars and Patron Tequila

The Fuente family cigars, produced in the Dominican Republic since 1980 are world famous for their Chateau de la Fuente wrapper leaves.  From the complex flavors of Don Carlos to the innovative perfecto shape of the Hemingway each Fuente cigar is a reflection of the family’s strive for perfection. 

 

Hailed as “the Dom Perignon of tequila” Patron’s hand blown bottles are the perfect accompaniment to a great cigar and a sumptuous meal.  We will enjoy a sip, or two, of their famous “Grand Patron Platinum” as well as the Anjeo, Silver and Reposado products. 

 

The evening starts outside on the Mendocino Terrace where we can try some snacks from the barbeque, an aray of Patron tequila drinks and perhaps, a fine cigar.  For dinner we are thinking of a first course with jumbo red shrimp from Spain followed by a Kobe beef flat iron steak and some gutsy red wines.  For dessert and coffee we will again retire to the terrace where cigar smoking and good conversation are encouraged. 

 

This would make a great Father’s Day gift!!


Who and What:
CHEF FOR A DAY with Scott Michael Raczek
When: 8:00am, Fridays - Dependent on Schedule

How would you like to spend the day in Mr. Stox kitchen working with our Chef Scott Michael Raczek?  He’s agreed to set aside the time on most any Friday his schedule permits. 

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. in the pastry department, where our pastry chef will be waiting with your personalized Mr. Stox chef’s jacket and a brand new French knife.  You will spend time making breads, preparing for lunch with the Sous Chef, and work on the cooking line through lunch. Next you will have lunch with the Marshalls at 1:00 p.m. and get their input on what’s cooking in the industry. 

 

In the afternoon, you will create a soufflé of your choice, create specials and review the latest cookbooks with Chef Scott.  Preparation for the evening meal service and assisting with dinner food preparation will conclude your day. 

 

At 7:15 p.m. you may invite up to 3 guests to join you for dinner at Mr. Stox.  You’ll have plenty to talk about after this experience!  The cost is $775.00 per person, which includes the Chef’s jacket, French knife, lunch for you, and dinner for you and your guests.  This makes a great gift.

 


Who and What:
  SOMMELIER FOR A DAY with Daniel Grajewski

The fun begins at 11:00 am when you meet our Wine Director, Daniel Grajewski.  Daniel is a “Certified Sommelier” by the International Sommelier’s Guild, as well as certified “Wine Steward” by the Federation of Dining Room Professionals. The first activity is to take a tour of the wine cellar, then a review of Mr. Stox wine list. You will then sit down with Daniel for a mini wine course based on your wine interest.  Daniel will answer all the questions you always wanted to ask a restaurant wine professional.  He will give you advice on how to improve your own cellar, where to buy your wines, customizing your day based on your personal interests.  At 1:00 pm you will have lunch with the Marshall family with more conversation about wine and food.

 

After lunch your behind-the-scenes program continues until the winery representatives begin arriving to pitch and sample their wines with Daniel and you!  At this session you will learn how we taste and evaluate wines and whether we plan on purchasing any of the wines presented.

 

In the early evening you will assist Daniel in helping guests select wines and learn how wine is served at Mr. Stox.  At 7:30 pm you may invite three guests to join you for dinner.  The price of $650.00 per day includes all of the above plus a special wine related memento from Mr. Stox.
